Welcome to Headstrong Equestrian - the online home of Nicki Strong, a 27 year old amateur rider from Hampshire, and my lovely horses.  

For the first time in 2011, I was able to fulfill a lifelong ambition to compete regularly, and within 6 months and a handful of outings, I was lucky enough to come away with several ribbons and a sponsorship deal!

In 2012, I am aiming to take my first baby steps into the world of British Eventing and British Showjumping with my main horse Willo (Caherpuca Star), supported all the way by trainer and sponsor Sharon Kilminster. 

This will be a huge learning curve, with some thrills and hopefully not too many spills along the way. As a Communications Officer by trade, it would be rude not to document our progress in the only way I know how - with words! I hope you enjoy reading about us.
