In other news, we have some new wheels! My trailer was fabulous and I was so very grateful to have our own transport, but really felt for eventing having a lorry to change in and keep all your kit in was the way forward. My partner Wayne works for Mercedes on commercial vehicles, so naturally it had to be a Merc! Hopefully it will bring us lots of happy trucking.
Ruby has unfortunately taken a step backwards since we moved yards. She was making brilliant progress before with her gridwork but has become very difficult and reluctant to work in an outline again which is a huge blow. We are currently doing a bute trial with her to see how that affects her under saddle, but there's a possibility she may have to have her back injected.
What next? I have a few shows targeted for Blue and I in May, and are entered to make our BE90 debut in June so fingers crossed no repeat of last year with injuries - just nobody tell Blue ok?! This week I'm off to Badminton Horse Trials reporting on behalf of the Swindon Advertiser; my first year as a bona fide member of the press so promises to be a great experience. As an added bonus, I won a course walk with Kitty King through Woof Wear which means I can see the new course up close and personal. Hope to see you some of you there!
