1 – Perfect fit. It’s almost as though it as made with my exact saddle in mind. No flappy bits, no tight bits, just a beautiful fit.
3 – Form. It has a memory foam core, which not only creates a gentle cushion which prevents pressure points and protects the horse’s back, but it also holds its form; this means when you lift the saddle on, the pad stays with the saddle and doesn’t get tucked up underneath. Really handy for a shortie like me.
5 – Design. The smartest design I’ve seen on a saddle cloth; it’s the little things which make a difference. The Velcro straps which fit to your D-rings are pinched in the middle so that when fitted you still have plenty of room to thread a hunter breastplate strap through. It’s cut higher over the wither to give clearance and prevent pulling, without sticking up. Finally the area where the girth straps sit are covered in a hard wearing fabric and have designated slots for each strap. Everything has its place.
It would be fair to say the humble saddle cloth has come a long way. This is a great bit of kit – 10/10 from me and my pursuit of the perfect saddle pad has met its match. I actually love it...and I think you might too. LeMieux - you have nailed it.
